In recent years mountain biking has become increasingly popular and can
today be considered a mass activity. In addition to all the positive influence
this form of recreation has on human health, it may also inflict a number
of detrimental impacts on the environment; for this reason cycling in Slovenia
is only permitted along maintained tracks and roads. One such scenic route
in the Solčavsko District is the Panoramic Road which leads north from Solčava
to Podolševa, before heading west
under the Olševa ridge towards Matkov Kot and the lower end of the
Logarska Dolina.
