The highlands of Solcavsko, reaching up onto the summits of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps offer to eager hikers numerous strenuous and leisurely, marked and unmarked paths.
Hiking is certainly one of the oldest recreational activities known to
man, and it is also something of a longstanding tradition in the Solčava
District. There are many mountain trails hereabouts, most are marked along
the way (on tree trunks, rocks, etc.) by painted red circles with white
centres. Hikers and mountaineers can rest up at
Domu Planincev in Logarska dolina, at the dairy cottage in
Logarski Kot or at the one in Robanov
Kot, which are all in the valley, whereas they can indulge in mountain
huts along the way: in the hut at Klemenča
Jama, in Frischauf's hut at Okrešelj, in Kocbek's hut at Korošica,
in the hut at Grohot or in the one at Loka pod Raduho. All these huts
offer victuals and basic overnight accommodation.
