Rising high above the eastern side of the
Logarska dolina Valley is a crest of Triassic limestone connecting the
summits of Strelovec and Krofička. This ridge forms a habitat of some rare
Alpine vegetation, whilst stretched out across the southwestern slopes there
is an ancient larch forest, a reserve of capercaillie and grouse. To the
southeast of the ridge are the former extensive highland pastures that lieabove
the Robanov Kot Valley; now abandoned,
they are once again being reclaimed by nature.
