Food providers in the Logar valley

The cuisine in the Logar valley can satisfy all tastes and requirements. There are providers throughout the area who serve visitors the finest quality cuisine as well as those whose food is more traditional or simple grilled dishes.

HOTEL PLESNIK

The hotel offers the finest quality cuisine with both traditional dishes from Solčava and international specialities. In addition to food, you can choose from a wide range of wines and other beverages. The hotel offers lunches, dinners, breakfasts, snacks and drinks from the bar.
You can choose to savour the culinary delights in the restaurant, the hunters’ room, the bar or on the outdoor terrace. The terrace in particular is a place to savour gourmet culinary experiences while soaking up the beautiful views of the valley and the surrounding mountaintops.
The hotel is open to individuals and groups. Weddings, celebrations, conferences, business meetings and bridge tournaments, among others, can be arranged.

ECO HOUSE NA RAZPOTJU

Eco House Na razpotju is a friendly family-run restaurant known for its excellent local cuisine and Upper Savinja specialities available to both individual guests and groups. The guest house offers lunch, dinner, breakfast and drinks from the bar.

There is a grass-covered children’s playground and an outdoor terrace with a covered part in the shape of a traditional hayrack.

The guesthouse also hosts small wedding celebrations, festive lunches and dinners (birthdays, New Year's Eve, anniversaries ...), various conferences and business meetings.

OJSTRICA COUNTRY HOUSE

The Ojstrica country house is situated in the heart of the Logar valley in the embrace of the unspoilt nature of the landscape park. The country house features a large terrace for relaxing in the sun and a beautiful view of the peaks of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps.
The house also has a restaurant with an outdoor terrace and a bar.
The dining room with lounge area can accommodate 50 people, and the outdoor wooden terrace with a view of the surrounding mountaintops can accommodate an additional 50 guests.
The kitchen offers simple, seasonal dishes, grilled dishes and à la carte dishes for organized groups.

DOM PLANINCEV MOUNTAIN HUT

The Dom planincev mountain hut is located in the upper part of the Logar valley, beside the asphalt road, 3km from the Rinka waterfall and along the Logar Valley Trail. It offers lunches, dinners and snacks of traditional dishes and à-la-carte dishes.
The dining room can accommodate up to 70 guests, and there is also room for a further 50 people on the terrace.
The mountain hut is also a suitable venue for group celebrations, such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, as well as for school nature expeditions. There is a picnic area for 100 people next to the hut.

LOGARSKI KOT HUT

The Logarski kot hut, a former alpine dairy farm, is located in the upper part of the Logar valley near the road leading to the Rinka waterfall.

You can try traditional Solčava dishes by the fireplace while soaking up the homely ambience. The daily menu includes cold cuts, cheese platters, mushroom soup, goulash, sour milk with buckwheat, curd cheese štruklji, and strudel. Upon prior arrangement tastings of Solčava dishes, lunches and alpine snacks can be arranged for groups.

The hut is open from May to October, and at other times throughout the year for groups upon prior arrangement. It has 30 seats indoors and 70 outdoors.

KOČA NA KLEMENČI JAMI MOUNTAIN HUT

The hut is located on the Klemenča jama moutain pasture, a small clearing at an altitude of 1,208m. The hut is an ideal destination for a short hiking trip from the Logar valley, as the ascent only takes 1h15 min. It is also an intermediate point for those seeking refreshment on the way to/from conquering the surrounding high mountains.

The hut offers simple home-cooked food and drinks. The dining room has 30 seats, and there are additional tables and benches outdoors.

The hut is open from the beginning of June to the end of September, and also out of season for groups upon prior arrangement.

ORLOVO GNEZDO SNACK BAR

Orlovo gnezdo (Eagle's Nest) is a small but spectacular snack bar right next to the Rinka waterfall, where visitors can relax and refresh over a drink. There is a beautiful view of the waterfall from the terrace.

The snack bar offers drinks, souvenirs and postcards.

Orlovo gnezdo snack bar at Rinka Waterfall

POD SLAPOM SNACK BAR

Bar pod slapom (Bar beneath the waterfall) is an information point in the parking area below the Rinka waterfall at the far end of the Logar valley, which is vehicle accessible. It is a starting point for a visit to the Rinka waterfall, which is a 15-minute walk away, a hike to Okrešelj or further into the high mountains.
The bar is open from March to November and offers drinks and souvenirs and postcards.
